Mrs. Wendy Wiltshire.
Wendy Wiltshire was one of the few people to have copy of the 1915 sale catalogue with the plans of the plot numbers. I am indebted to her for allowing me to copy it.
This photograph was taken at the wedding of her Great Grandmother and Grandfather, William Reid and Elizabeth Powell. Elizabeth was at one time Landlady of the Beaufort Arms around 1880, she then moved to Beaufort House at the top of Rock Lane. This was the village shop that sold just about everything and was the village off license. At the rear was a Farrier and they had a big apple orchard. At the end of the lane (plot 33 on the 1915 plan) resided a Romany Family named Kelly in their traditional horse drawn caravan. Elizabeth was about 90 years old in 1963. giving an approximate birth date of 1853. William was 80 in 1993.
